DESCRIPTION:North Iowa Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down to be held on September 27\, 2025 \nMASON CITY\, IOWA – The North Iowa Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down will take place on Saturday\, September 27\, 2025\, at the North Iowa Fairgrounds in Mason City\, Iowa. The event\, which is open to all Veterans\, is established to provide support\, resources\, goods\, and assistance to those who have served in the military\, and to their families. \nVeterans are invited to meet at the North Iowa Event Center: 3700 4th Street SW in Mason City\, Iowa. The Event will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. \nThe Veteran Stand Down offers a wide range of resources. Agencies will be on site to aid any Veteran who is insecure about housing\, food\, clothing\, employment\, physical health\, mental health\, alcohol and/or substance abuse. Veterans can also receive free food\, clothing\, personal care items\, educational information\, financial counseling\, and legal advice. \nServices available include medical evaluations\, battlefield acupuncture\, flu shots\, haircuts\, chiropractic care\, massage therapy\, dental care\, hunting and fishing license registration\, plus more. There will also be Bingo\, trivia games\, live music\, a root beer garden\, an ice cream social\, and many raffle prizes will be given away. \nThe North Iowa Southern Minnesota Stand Down is a collaborative effort between local government agencies\, non-profit organizations\, and private businesses.
